About Training and Placements

The Training & Placement department plays a crucial role in locating job opportunities for Under Graduates and Post Graduates passing out from the college by keeping in touch with reputed firms and industrial establishments. The Placement Department operates round the year to facilitate contacts between companies and graduates. The number of students placed through the campus interviews is continuously rising. On invitation, many reputed industries visit the institute to conduct interviews.

Overview & Objective :-

Primary aim of Department of Training & Placement – ITERC is to establish strong relationship with the industries for training, Internships and Final Placements of students registered with the T & P department. At ITERC Students, Faculty Members and CRC staff together thrive to achieve successful collaboration with industries to actively support “Demand & Supply Chain” of Industry-Institute Developing the students to meet the Industries recruitment process To motivate students to develop Technical knowledge and soft skills in terms of career planning, goal setting To motivate students aspire for higher studies and guiding them to take competitive exams such as CAT, GATE, TOEFL, GRE, IES,UPSC,TNPSC etc Aiming to Place the maximum number of students through on – campus & off-campus interviews conducted by the top companies

PERSONALITY DEVELOPMENT PROGRAMMES (PDP)

Academic excellence alone is not enough and cannot guarantee a good career. Certain personality attributes and soft skills are essential not only to get a good job but also to be able to contribute and grow in an organization. Taking cognizance of this, the college emphasises all round development through a range of extracurricular activities as well as organizing and conducting formal Personality Development Program. This programme spanning over 100 hours is conducted by a professional agency and includes training in communication skills, group discussion, interpersonal skills and interviews. This is a mandatory programme for second year of all courses Like MBA BBA B.Com and BCA students of the college. This programme helps in the overall personality development of students. The whole exercise is intended to increase the employability of students. Amidst an inspiring and invigorating environment, students undergo training that turns them into top notch professionals.

INFOSYS CAMPUS CONNECT PROGRAM

As a step towards grooming students into perfect professionals and to make them compatible with the IT industry, Infosys campus connect programme (Springboard) is run by T&P department which is conducted by Infosys. Under this programme, Infosys train some identified faculty on emerging courses under Faculty Enabled Program (FEP). In this program BCA III year students undergo training on emerging certification courses by Infosys on Springboard platform under the guidance of trained faculty. These steps not only help Infosys to reduce their in-house training time but also help the students in acquiring technical skills which make them more suitable for IT industry.
The entire educational process at ITERC revolves around guiding and providing the students all the imperative and relevant inputs to take on the professional world with conviction and confidence. Thus apart from PDP & Infosys CCP (Springboard) our college also offers modules on ProE, CAT/A etc. leading to certification and helping students to become proficient in the current generation CAD software used in industry.

TRAINING

With the mission to serve society by promoting excellence in education ITERC aims to produce sound technical professionals with a temperament of strong logic. For this, special efforts are made to groom students to meet the standards of industry, both in technical knowledge and in soft skills. There is continuous college-industry interface and interactive seminars on emerging technologies are organised regularly to provide a holistic exposure to the students. The college is part of the Campus Connect Program of Infosys for training students in accordance with the needs of industry. The college also conducts specialized courses for CAD packages like PRO-E. The college helps students in undergoing industrial training for 04-06 weeks (2nd year & 3rd year students of all branches) in reputed companies like BHEL, CMC Noida, Samsung Software, Genpact, HCL, NTPC Dadri, Miracle Technologies, Birla Soft, etc. Besides this, ITERC strives to inculcate responsibility and accountability in its students; responsibility towards their organizations and accountability towards society. The college conducts a Personality Development Program which enhances soft skills of the students, builds their self-confidence and motivates them to scale new unbound heights of glory. We imbibe in our students values of self-discipline, decision making, cultural closeness & moral resurgence and above all we try to reap good citizens and human beings.
